Xinhuanet.com, Beijing, June, 24 (reporter Liu Hua) Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mrs. Peng Liyuan, accompanied Peng Liyuan, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, on the forenoon of the Beijing Kai Wu experimental school and the Art Academy of the Chinese people's Liberation Army.

In Qiyin experimental school, Peng Liyuan and Mathilde watched the teaching of Chinese and Chinese sign language for the first, second and third grade students, watched the program "animal games" performed by the preschool rehabilitation department, and observed the perceptual training, language assessment and hearing monitoring of hearing-impaired children. The hard-working and self-improvement spirit of hearing-impaired students deeply moved everyone present.

Peng Liyuan also accompanied Mathilde to watch the students' dance, pottery, Chinese knot making, calligraphy and seal cutting and tea art performances. Mathilde personally wrote the word "friend" with a brush and sealed with a seal engraved with "China Belgium friendship". After the performance, Peng Liyuan told the children that children are the future of the country, and every child has the right to enjoy a good life. Mathilde appreciated that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children, and said that the Chinese government's love for the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children is impressive.

Later, Peng Liyuan accompanied Mathilde to the PLA Academy of art. The students waved the national flags of China and Belgium and warmly welcomed the distinguished guests of Belgium. In the hall on the first floor of the teaching building, Peng Liyuan accompanied Mathilde to visit the achievement exhibition of famous graduates of literature department and the works of teachers and students of art department. During the visit, Mo Yan, a graduate of literature department and winner of Nobel Prize in literature, presented books to Mathilde.

In the concert hall, Peng Liyuan accompanied Mathilde to enjoy the music and drama teaching exhibition. The teachers and students played the song "full carriage" adapted from Belgian folk song with beautiful melody, and played the famous ancient Chinese song "GuanShanYue" with ancient Chinese musical instrument Peizhu, and performed excerpts of folk song "flowing river" and Italian opera "Tosca" with Bel Canto technique. The students also specially performed the segments of the famous Belgian drama "Bluebird". In the dance classroom, the students demonstrated ballet techniques and other dance skills, performed Chinese folk dance groups such as Korean andan group and Anhui huagudeng group, and group dance "new army boots". The excellent performance of the students won the applause of Peng Liyuan, Mathilde and the audience. Mathilde thanks Peng Liyuan for her warm reception, saying that the visit is unforgettable.
